Objective:To study the recent efficacy and toxic side effects of pemetrexed in combination with cisplatin in the treatment of recurrent metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. METHODS: Twenty-three patients with advanced relapsed non-small cell lung cancer received pemetrexed 500 mg/m2, d1, and cisplatin 25 mg/m2, d1-3, repeated after 3 weeks, for two cycles to evaluate the efficacy. Results:The effective rate (CR + PR) was 30.4% in 23 patients. The disease control rate (CR + PR + SD) was 78.2%. The main side effects were bone marrow suppression, rash and gastrointestinal reactions. Conclusion:Pemetrexed combined with cisplatin has good efficacy in the treatment of recurrent metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, and the side effects are tolerable.
