If the degree of pathological differentiation of pancreatic cancer is hypofractionated, it should be considered more serious. Hypofractionation means that pancreatic cancer cells are very different from normal pancreatic cells and are highly malignant, so the tumor grows quickly and is relatively easy to develop distant metastasis. When pancreatic cancer is detected, the chance of surgical resection has been lost and anti-tumor treatments such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy are needed. Even if the cancer is found early and surgical resection is done, the chance of recurrence and metastasis is higher in hypofractionated pancreatic cancer than in moderately or highly differentiated, so even if surgery is done, postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy is needed.
