Facial palsy should not be taken lightly and should be taken seriously

Facial palsy, commonly known as hanging line wind, is characterized by clinical manifestations: one side of the face is stagnant, numb, paralyzed, unable to do such actions as frowning, showing teeth, cheek puffing, whistling, etc. The corners of the mouth are skewed to the healthy side, gargling and leaking, food often stagnates between the cheeks on the sick side during meals, the frontal line on the sick side, the nasolabial furrow becomes shallow and disappears, the eyelids are incompletely closed, tears flow in the wind, etc., and pain behind the ears and under the face. Staging of the disease: 1. Acute stage: generally within one week of onset, and up to half a month in severe cases. This period is the key to the whole treatment. If the treatment is administered properly, the prognosis is good, and vice versa, the prognosis is poor. 2, recovery period: 15 days to 3 months after the onset of the disease, if the acute treatment is not timely or the disease is serious, then enter the recovery period. This period is treated with acupuncture, moxibustion, flashing jars, divine light irradiation, etc. Most patients are cured in about 15 days to 1 month. 3.After-effects period: more than 3 months after the onset of the disease. There are a few patients, especially those who are old and weak, whose acute phase and recovery phase are not very effective and turn into the sequelae phase. Clinical observation shows that the earlier the treatment of peripheral facial palsy patients, the better the efficacy, so early acupuncture treatment can improve the efficacy, shorten the course of treatment, and reduce the occurrence of sequelae. If you believe in folk remedies and other treatments, you will miss the best time for treatment and lead to nerve degeneration and necrosis, which will eventually leave you with different severity of sequelae and a lifetime of hatred! But why do the prescriptions also cure some patients? The disease varies in severity, and the milder ones can heal themselves without treatment, while if the more severe ones are not treated in time, the difficulty of nerve recovery will be greatly increased.
