What is a bone marrow cyst?

Bone marrow cysts, also known as bone cysts, are relatively common lesions of the bones and are generally benign lesions. For small bone cysts with no obvious symptoms, they can be followed up and observed. Generally, local X-rays are reviewed in about six months to see the changes of the bone cysts. If there is no significant change you can continue to observe, if it is significantly enlarged you need to consider surgery. The common surgical procedure is localized scraping of the cyst, and if the scraping is extensive, bone graft and auxiliary internal fixation should be given to prevent the possibility of pathological fracture. There is also a possibility of recurrence after surgery for bone cysts, and local X-rays should be followed up regularly.
