Reasons for the high incidence of hemorrhoids during pregnancy

Women are prone to hemorrhoids after pregnancy, which is caused by a series of physiological changes in the body after pregnancy. During pregnancy, as the fetus grows, the uterus increases in size, creating pressure on the inferior vena cava, which impedes the return of blood to the pelvic cavity, stagnating the blood in the venous plexus around the anus, which can easily form hemorrhoids as it convolutes into a mass. In addition to the low activity during pregnancy, gastrointestinal peristalsis is slow, stool is easily constipated, and the mass of feces presses against the intestinal wall, leading to the expansion of hemorrhoidal veins, which also promotes the formation of hemorrhoids. In addition, because of the pregnancy reaction to eat soft and easily digestible food, so it is easy to constipation, which is also the reason for the aggravation of hemorrhoids. For these reasons, pregnant women are not only prone to hemorrhoid-like anal disorders, but also to acute attacks caused by mild lesions of the original disease. There are statistics that the incidence of hemorrhoids in pregnant women is as high as 50-60%, so “hemorrhoid prevention” in perinatal health care for pregnant women has become a problem that cannot be ignored. To prevent hemorrhoids during pregnancy, the first thing you need to do is to develop good eating habits. The actual fact is that you should eat a lot of fresh fruit in your daily diet, and especially pay attention to eating more foods that contain coarse fiber, such as leeks, bitter gourd, radish, celery, and so on. Also eat more coarse grains, such as corn, groundnuts, whole wheat flour, etc. These foods, in addition to being rich in nutrients, can also stimulate intestinal peristalsis and prevent the accumulation of feces in the intestinal tract. Pregnant women should pay attention not to eat or eat less spicy and stimulating food and condiments, but also to develop the habit of drinking more water, preferably some light salt water or honey water, these are conducive to softening and lubricating stool to prevent constipation. Second, to develop good bowel habits. Defecation time should be relatively fixed, generally can be set in a meal after a good. Just eat, intestinal peristalsis active, conducive to promote the elimination of feces. Once the habit of defecation is formed, do not easily change, to the time of defecation, even if there is no intention to go to the toilet, to induce intestinal defecation reflex. But each squatting toilet should not be too long, generally in 5-6 minutes. If you can’t defecate at once, you can get up and rest for a while and go again. Never squatting to read a book or newspaper, otherwise the defecation reflex will soon be established, but increase the abdominal pressure and the pressure of blood flow around the anus, forming or aggravating the occurrence of hemorrhoids. If the stool is dry and difficult to defecate, you can use some laxative drugs, such as marenzine intestinal pills, etc. It is not advisable to use laxatives, and it is not advisable to use pressure enemas and other means to laxative, so as not to cause abortion or premature birth. Finally, some physical activities and anal health care should be carried out appropriately. Pregnant women should prevent being sedentary and promote appropriate outdoor activities. Such as walking quietly, doing exercises and playing taijiquan, etc. The right amount of physical activity can enhance physical fitness, promote intestinal peristalsis and increase appetite, and prevent constipation. Twice a day, in the morning and evening, you can do anal lifting exercises, 20-30 times each time, which is conducive to defecation and prevent the occurrence of hemorrhoids.
