Pulmonary nodules are associated with smoking, and the appearance of nodules in the lungs is induced in patients who smoke heavily for a long period of time. This is because the nicotine, nicotine, and carbon monoxide in the smoke irritate the lung mucosa, resulting in mucosal hyperplasia, granulomas, and even calcification and the formation of lung nodules. Lung nodules that develop in patients who smoke should be reviewed regularly in clinical practice. Tiny nodules can be treated by quitting smoking, eating fresh fruits and vegetables, and improving the immune system. However, overly large lung nodules should be punctured to clarify the nature and prevent the possibility of cancer. In case of malignant tumor, surgery, interventional therapy, radiotherapy and chemotherapy should be performed as soon as possible to cure lung cancer at an early stage and prevent the condition from being detrimental to life.
