What are the clinical manifestations of prostatic hyperplasia?

1.Frequent urination, urgent urination: the most common symptom in early stage is frequent urination, especially increased frequency of night urination. 2.Progressive difficulty in urination. 3.Urinary incontinence: urine can overflow on its own at any time after the pressure in the bladder increases to exceed the urethral resistance. 4.Acute urinary retention: acute urinary retention can occur due to congestion and edema of the prostate and bladder neck caused by cold, alcohol consumption and exertion. 5.Hematuria: on the surface of prostate hyperplasia tissue, there are often venous blood vessels dilated and congested, causing hematuria after rupture. 6.Symptoms of renal insufficiency: long-term urinary tract obstruction leads to azotemia in both kidneys with reduced function, even uremia, manifested as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting and anemia. 7.Secondary stones and tumors: toxic substances in residual urine act on bladder mucosa for a long time and increase the incidence of bladder migratory cell carcinoma; long-term catheterization, repeated infection and stimulation, easy to form bladder stones and squamous metastatic cell carcinoma of bladder. 8.Other symptoms: long-term reliance on increased abdominal pressure to urinate can cause inguinal hernia, hemorrhoids and so on.
