Children’s seminal points – a guide to visiting the clinic

1, we know that psychiatry is special, there are not a lot of tests available, so for the first time patients and family members to provide information on the patient’s medical history what is required? From the earliest detection of abnormalities to the main performance at the time of consultation, mental status after the onset, sleep, eating, urination and defecation, weight change, previous major physical illnesses (such as history of head trauma), personal history (general development, maternal pregnancy, feeding, birth, school life and work, get along with others, personality before the disease), family history (two lines of three generations) (mental illness). 2.How long does it take for the initial diagnosis to be confirmed? It takes different time for different diseases, and after different time periods of psychiatric examination and auxiliary examination to exclude organic diseases. If the symptoms are typical, the diagnosis can be confirmed within 2 weeks. Most schizophrenia can be considered for this diagnosis after 1 month of onset of illness to the outpatient clinic, which can be determined based on the patient’s different clinical manifestations. Patients are first diagnosed after the family provides a history, personal history, family history, and ancillary tests, and then the outpatient physician determines whether the patient has a mental illness after a systematic psychiatric examination. 3.What is the procedure for first-time patients? Can I go directly to the department? No. Patients need to be seen in the outpatient clinic and cannot go directly to the department. 4.What information do patients need to provide for follow-up consultation? Patients should be careful to visit the outpatient department during the doctor’s clinic hours when they have a follow-up visit. Patients’ follow-up time is usually the time prescribed by the doctor at the last visit, but if adverse reactions are suspected, they should be seen promptly; if it is really inconvenient to travel a long distance, they can be seen in the nearest local area. Patients need to bring their medical record retrieval card, medical records from previous visits (including inpatient records and discharge summaries), and examination sheets (including psychological test reports) to the follow-up appointment. At the follow-up visit, the doctor will need to know the patient’s current mental condition, medication use psychotherapy, and diet, sleep and other related conditions. Depending on the patient’s condition, tests may be required at the follow-up visit. If the child is fine and there are no other abnormalities, and the doctor has told you that no tests will be done, you can take the child to the follow-up appointment. You will need to register for the follow-up appointment. The above is for parents’ reference only, and the doctor’s instructions should be followed.
