Occult glomerulonephritis is characterized by mild persistent or intermittent proteinuria and/or hematuria without obvious symptoms and signs and normal renal function. It is also called asymptomatic hematuria or (and) proteinuria. It usually includes: asymptomatic hematuria; asymptomatic hematuria and proteinuria; and asymptomatic proteinuria. Early diagnosis is the key to occult nephritis, although most patients have a good prognosis, some patients can have recurrent attacks and progress to chronic nephritis or even chronic renal failure. In the treatment, according to the patient’s constitution and the severity of the disease, we choose to benefit the qi, nourish the yin, disperse the wind and detoxify the toxin. For pure hematuria, different methods are used according to the presence or absence of external evil and physical deficiency, and blood activation methods can also be used for treatment. For patients with proteinuria, a combination of Chinese and Western medicine should be used to protect kidney function.
