What to do when a cyst becomes inflamed and swollen and painful

If the cyst becomes inflamed, with swelling and pain and fever, it is considered that the cyst fluid inside the cyst may be infected with bacteria and an abscess has formed. It is recommended that the cyst be incised and drained to draw out the infected cystic fluid inside, and then the cyst be given regular drug changes so that the infection will slowly recover. This way the swelling pain and discomfort will disappear. It is recommended to wait for the infection to be controlled and safe before undergoing surgical treatment to remove the cyst so that the risk of recurrence is reduced and no reinfection of the cyst will occur.
