Can diet and obesity really cause pancreatic cancer?

Once people are diagnosed with cancer, there is always a question in their mind: Why do I have cancer, so what are the causes of pancreatic cancer? From a macroscopic point of view, the causes of pancreatic cancer are: genetic factors account for only 5% and environmental factors account for 95%. The largest share is surprisingly diet and obesity (30% – 35%), smoking is 25-30%, inflammation is 15-20%, sexual factors are about 7%, alcohol and radiation, etc. The famous tenor Pavarotti died of pancreatic cancer, and his manager said: “The old Pavarotti fought hard against pancreatic cancer, but in the end the disease took his life. His battle with the disease epitomized and epitomized his glorious life, full of optimism and positive attitude towards life until the end of his life”. Pavarotti has said that age is not the main reason for leaving the stage, “I ask myself: ‘Why did you leave it?’ I think the answer is that I was too fat.” Pavarotti, who is 1.84 meters tall, weighs 140 kilograms. Pavarotti jokingly says that after 43 years of singing in the world’s major opera houses and as one of the world’s top singers, he has only made one mistake, and that was being obese. For experienced pancreatic surgeons, the safety of pancreatic surgery is high. 1. For resectable patients, that is, those who are not found to have distant metastases before surgery, surgery should be considered, because surgical treatment still has a chance to cure or to give the patient a longer period of remission. Surgical method: partial pancreaticoduodenectomy or called pancreatic headoduodenectomy. 2.Anastomosis: For patients with pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed locally, biliary-intestinal anastomosis or and gastrointestinal anastomosis is feasible to relieve biliary obstruction or and gastrointestinal obstruction. 3.Analgesia: anhydrous alcohol abdominal nerve closure is feasible with 80% efficacy. Five mechanisms of cancer caused by obesity 1.Excess adipose tissue produces excess estrogen, which increases the risk of breast cancer and endometrial cancer. 2. The level of insulin and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) in the blood of obese people is often higher, and IGF-1 can promote the progress of certain tumors. 3, adipocytes produce some hormones, for example: leptin (Leptin), can promote cell proliferation, and adiponectin (adiponectin), or have anti-cell proliferation effect. And many cancers are caused by cell proliferation disorders. 4, adipocytes can directly and indirectly act on mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) and AMP-activated protein kinase (AMP-activated protein kinase). The former regulates cell growth, motility, cell survival, and protein synthesis. The latter is involved in the cell energy balance of the enzyme. 5, obese people are often combined with chronic/subacute inflammation, which is associated with increased risk of cancer. To prevent pancreatic cancer, “less sugar, less oil, less meat, more vegetables”, too much sweet food increases the risk of pancreatic cancer! Patients suffering from pancreatitis, gallstones and cholecystitis should pay special attention to these diseases, which are the root cause of pancreatic cancer, and without these diseases, excessive intake of sweets and sugar-sweetened beverages will increase the risk of pancreatic cancer. To prevent pancreatic cancer and live a healthy life, we should start from the little things in our life.
