Questions that patients/families of patients with confirmed lung cancer need to ask their doctors

What type of lung cancer does the patient have? Can you explain the patient’s pathology report or lab test results for me? What stage of lung cancer does the patient have? Has the tumor spread to the lymph nodes or other sites?       Can you tell me about the treatment options available to me? Are there any clinical trials to choose from? What benefits can the treatment provide to the patient? Will the treatment affect the patient’s daily life? Will the patient be able to continue working? Will they be able to exercise? How much does cancer treatment cost? How to choose if the patient has financial difficulties? Will the treatment affect the patient’s reproductive function? What are the adverse effects of treatment? Are there any long-term adverse effects? Besides treating the tumor, how to deal with the patient’s discomfort, such as cough and shortness of breath? What should be done to solve the psychological difficulties of patients and their families? Who should patients and their family members consult if they have related questions?
