How to eliminate edema from head trauma

After head trauma, due to contusion, necrosis and hemorrhage of brain tissue, the contused necrotic brain tissue and hematoma will release toxins, causing edema of brain cells. The first choice for treatment of edema in head trauma is dehydration treatment with drug dehydrating agents, commonly used dehydrating agents are mannitol, tachyzoites, albumin, generally after drug dehydration treatment most of the brain edema will slowly dissipate and can be effectively controlled. In the process of dehydration treatment, the patient can be asked to adopt a sloping position, i.e., head high and feet low, which is conducive to venous and lymphatic return and accelerates the dissipation of cerebral edema. If medication is not effective, surgical decompression of the skull flap can be performed if the edema is severe, so that the patient can survive the peak of cerebral edema.
