Treatment of mesenteric artery embolism

Acute mesenteric artery refers to embolism of the embolus into the superior mesenteric artery, resulting in muscle dysfunction, ischemia, and necrosis of the intestinal wall. It is clinically similar to narrower intestinal obstruction, and most patients die if not treated promptly. This disease is rare, and the literature reports that the station accounts for 0.23% to 0.7% of the total number of obstructions, and the mortality rate of surgical treatment is high between 60% and 85%.
