Minimally invasive surgery has always required expensive medical equipment and consumables, and the cost of surgery has skyrocketed, so minimally invasive and inexpensive seems to be a fish and a bear’s paw, which cannot be combined. However, our vascular surgery department has found a different way to come out of a cheap minimally invasive path. Varicose veins in the lower extremities are the most common disease in vascular surgery, which will eventually develop into foot ulcers, commonly known as old rotten feet, making patients very painful. The main treatment method, traditional surgery, leaves many large and small surgical scars on the whole lower limb, so how to reduce the surgical incision and meet the patient’s aesthetic needs is what surgeons have been pursuing. In recent years, with the advancement of minimally invasive technology, minimally invasive surgery has started to intervene in the treatment of varicose veins, such as lower limb vein planing aspiration and saphenous vein laser (radiofrequency) closure, which are also actively carried out in our hospital. However, many patients are discouraged by the need for expensive medical devices, and the cost of treatment has skyrocketed. While municipal hospitals are still minimally invasive with the help of high-grade and expensive instruments, our vascular surgery department, based on our mastery of minimally invasive techniques, has taken a different approach and carried out minimally invasive surgery without the help of instruments. By improving the traditional surgery, we changed the varicose vein mass stripping to point stripping, greatly reducing the surgical incision and improving it into a minimally invasive surgery, which reduces the patient’s pain and burden at the same time, and is well received by the majority of patients. Compared with the traditional surgery, our surgery is minimally invasive and beautiful; compared with the original minimally invasive technology, our surgery is cheap, without the help of expensive instruments, saving several thousand dollars in one surgery, which is very practical; the hospitalization time is short, and the recovery is fast; the scar range to the human body is small, the scar left on the lower leg is only 0.4-0.6cm long, which has a certain cosmetic effect, especially can meet the needs of female Patients’ needs.
