Crooked nose refers to a crooked nose, which not only affects the aesthetics, but also induces nasal congestion, rhinitis and other problems. Crooked nose can be divided into C/S shape and diagonal shape according to its morphology. To correct a crooked nose, corrective plastic surgery is required on the nasal bone part, cartilage part and septum part of the nose, including nasal bone osteotomy repositioning, or septum deviation scratching, while doing cartilage grafting. There are risks involved in any surgery, and crooked nose correction surgery is no exception. The procedure is relatively complex, and there is a possibility of continued crookedness after correction. The main risks come from the following aspects: 1. nasolacrimal duct injury: caused by bony deviation, osteotomy may lead to damage to the nasolacrimal duct after surgery; 2. nasal septal deviation: when correcting nasal septal deviation, part of the septal cartilage may have to be removed, and part of the vertical plate of the septum may be removed, which may damage the olfactory area which may lead to bleeding; 3. nasal septal defect and nasal mucosal defect; 4. displacement and deformation caused by osteotomy and scar contracture. All of the above are possible risks, so patients need to go to a regular hospital and see a regular surgeon for the correction of crooked nose surgery. After the surgery, the patient should strictly follow the doctor’s instructions for care, and try to reduce the activities after the surgery to prevent the prosthesis from moving. After surgery, it is strictly forbidden to touch the surgical incision with hands, and avoid getting water on the incision, and apply antibiotics for 3-5 days to prevent infection.
