As an important organ of the human body, the nose is not only an important symbol of the aesthetic structure of the face, but also has important and complex physiological functions such as respiration, olfaction, and pronunciation. Crooked nose deformity is a common but challenging condition in plastic surgery. The clinical treatment of crooked nose deformity is not only to reconstruct the aesthetic mark of the nose, but also to restore the normal physiological function of the nose. Due to the complexity and delicacy of the surgical operation, there is no fixed surgical procedure for correction and it needs to be individualized. Crooked nose deformity can be roughly divided into two types: congenital developmental and acquired. The congenital crooked nose is mainly caused by nasal cartilage and bone tissue dysplasia, while the acquired crooked nose is not only caused by distorted healing of nasal bone trauma or late bone scab growth, but also by hypertrophy of the inferior turbinate, nasal polyps, tumors or foreign bodies in the nasal cavity, which can cause long-term pressure on the nasal septum and cause deviation, which can not only cause nasal deformity, but also nasal dysfunction. The key to correction of crooked nasal deformity is to use a progressive approach. Typical crooked nasal deformity has abnormalities in external nasal morphology, nasal septum and nasal function, so correction of crooked nasal deformity should be considered from the following aspects, including septoplasty, nasal bone osteotomy and rhinoplasty, nasal function correction and application of transplant materials to correct crooked nasal deformity.
