Dietary guidance: After arthroscopic surgery, you can still follow your original diet, pay attention to dietary hygiene, avoid spicy and irritating food, scientific and reasonable dietary arrangements to enhance the quality of the body. Medication guidance: If you need to continue to take oral medication after discharge from the hospital, you should strictly follow the doctor’s prescription and self-observe the efficacy. Functional exercise: In the early stage of discharge, you should strengthen the quadriceps contraction and straight leg raising exercises. Quadriceps exercise method: do upward hooking and downward stepping action with the foot force, upward hooking and downward stepping once for one action, 10 times every hour, each action lasts for 3 seconds, gradually extend the action duration. Straight leg raise exercise method: lie flat on the bed, raise the affected limb straight 20-25 cm, insist on 10 seconds, then relax, slowly put the affected limb down, rest for 5 seconds and then practice, repeat at least 10-15 times every 2 hours continuously. As the muscle strength of the affected limb increases, the leg raising time can be gradually extended. Attention should be paid to individual differences when doing the above exercises to avoid excessive fatigue. Caution: After discharge from the hospital, you should rest for 3-4 weeks, take care of yourself in daily life, and do outdoor activities, but avoid walking or standing for a long time. Please keep the wound clean and dry, and you should not take a shower until the wound is completely healed. Swelling of the joint cavity and fluid accumulation in the joint cavity may occur within three weeks after surgery. If this occurs, you may reduce the amount of activity, rest in bed, and elevate the affected limb to perform quadriceps contraction exercises to facilitate swelling and fluid absorption. If the swelling of the joint cannot be relieved after rest, and symptoms of redness, swelling, heat and pain appear, the patient should come to the hospital for timely consultation. After arthroscopic surgery, you can exercise appropriately, but pay attention to the combination of work and rest and avoid strenuous exercise. Patients who have undergone meniscal suture and knee ligament reconstruction surgery should be discharged from the hospital with a brace for 10-12 weeks to ensure joint stability and functional recovery. Post-operative review: 1 month after surgery and no further review if recovery is good. Patients with knee ligament reconstruction need to be reviewed at 3 months. Please register at the outpatient clinic (whoever operated on you will be registered).
