At present, the clinical treatment of appendicitis generally does not advocate oral probiotic treatment. Because the main component of probiotics is bifidobacteria, the main purpose is to regulate intestinal flora, so that the disordered intestinal flora can be repaired, so as to alleviate the patient’s abdominal pain, diarrhea and other symptoms of colitis caused by the disorder of intestinal flora. The main cause of appendicitis is an infectious disease caused by blockage of the appendiceal lumen and secondary infection of the intestinal bacterial flora. Clinical treatment requires removal of the obstruction and antibiotic treatment, which means that appendectomy is the majority of clinical treatment for appendicitis. The use of probiotics alone, also known as bifidobacteria, does not achieve a curative effect on the treatment of appendicitis and is therefore not used clinically.
