Patients with appendicitis are perfectly fine to eat apples. In clinical practice, appendicitis usually includes acute appendicitis and chronic appendicitis. Generally speaking, acute appendicitis is mainly caused by blockage of the appendiceal lumen and secondary bacterial infection, while chronic appendicitis is usually formed after conservative treatment of acute appendicitis that does not heal. For appendicitis, both acute appendicitis and chronic appendicitis, timely surgical treatment is usually advocated in clinical practice after a clear diagnosis. For patients with appendicitis surgery or conservative treatment, a light diet is usually advocated, avoiding overly oily, spicy and stimulating foods, while more fresh foods such as vegetables and fruits are advocated. Apples, as a fruit with high vitamin content, can be eaten by appendicitis patients, both acute and chronic patients.
