People with chronic anxiety reactions are prone to develop anxiety disorders. You can self-measure your anxiety level using the Self-Assessment Scale for Anxiety (SAS). The scale contains 20 items on a 4-point scale. Please read it carefully and make your choice based on how you have been feeling in the last week. All items have four alternative answers (ABCD). Please tick the letter that matches your situation and limit yourself to one answer per question.
The meaning of the indicator of the answer is the length of time the phenomenon exists: A: no or little time exists; B: a small part of the time exists; C: quite a lot of time exists; D: the vast majority or all the time exists.

Scoring: Forward scoring questions A, B, C, D are scored as 1, 2, 3, 4; reverse scoring questions A, B, C, D are scored as 4, 3, 2, 1, reverse scoring question numbers: 5, 9, 13, 17, 19. The scores of 20 items are added together to get the total score, and then multiplied by 1.25 to get the whole number, which is the standard score. A standard score of less than 50 is normal; 50-60 is mild anxiety; 61-70 is moderate anxiety, 70 or more is severe anxiety, and moderate anxiety is recommended for psychiatric consultation to rule out anxiety disorders.
