What’s wrong with a sore throat when you press on it?

Throat pressure pain may be caused by physiological factors such as high pressure, or pathologic factors such as acute tonsillitis, cervical lymphadenitis, and subacute thyroiditis. 1. Physiological factors: due to the pressure, the intensity is large, causing soft tissue pressure pain. This situation can be treated without special treatment, usually avoid pressing hard. 2. Pathologic factors (1) Acute tonsillitis: most of the cases are considered to be caused by bacterial infection, and the clinical symptoms are mainly sore throat, fever, and difficulty in swallowing. Under the stimulation of inflammation there will be the symptom of pain in the throat when pressed. (2) Cervical lymphadenitis: swollen and feverish lymph nodes due to viral or bacterial infection, and if it happens that the lymph nodes are located near the throat, the symptom of painful throat pressure will occur. (3) Subacute thyroiditis: the thyroid gland is located below the laryngeal nodes, and the main symptom of subacute thyroiditis is pain in the throat or neck with pressure pain. If the above symptoms occur, you should go to the hospital in time to identify the cause for targeted treatment.
