Menopause followed by menstruation is abnormal uterine bleeding and is not a normal menstruation. It may be caused by gynecological diseases or withdrawal of hormonal medication. If menstruation occurs again one year or more after menopause, prompt gynecological examination is recommended. It may be due to cervical polyps or cervical lesions, endometrial lesions, or bleeding due to senile vaginitis. Therefore, gynecological examination should be performed to understand whether there is inflammation in the vagina, cervical cancer examination to understand whether there are malignant lesions in the cervix that cause bleeding, and ultrasound examination to understand the condition of the endometrium, whether there is thickening of the endometrium or abnormal echogenicity in the uterine cavity, and effective treatment should be given according to the results of the examination.
