Height measurement standards

Parents assess their child’s growth rate by referring to the following criteria: The child’s height should be measured every month. To obtain an accurate height, it should be measured correctly.

1. The same time of measurement: We usually require the measurement to be taken in the morning when you wake up. The height of a person can vary in the morning and evening due to the influence of the vertebral space of the human spine by its posture and mobility, as well as changes in the arch of the foot. That is why it is comparable when measured at the same time.

2.The same way of standing: bare feet, chest up and stomach down, eyes level, and jaw not up to measure the highest point of the head are required.

3, the same measurement tools: measured with the same measuring tape, two right-angle edges of the triangular plate close to the strong and the highest point of the head, and marked at the right angle. Marking was performed each time to assess the growth rate each month.

4, the same person measurement: different people in the measurement, the ruler pressure on the head is not the same tightness. In addition, the ruler is sometimes loose, to master the length of the ruler to keep parallel to the ground.

Measurements at home, you can scratch the scale on the wall or post a paper height ruler.

Note: Measuring once a month is enough, do not measure frequently, so as not to cause psychological burden to the child.
