What’s wrong with the painful external vaginal opening during intercourse?

If you feel pain at the external vaginal opening during intercourse, the following reasons are mainly considered: First, women have vulvar or vaginal inflammation, which causes local swelling of the vaginal opening, so it can cause pain during intercourse. Patients have increased leukorrhea with odor when they are not having intercourse. The local redness of vulva or vagina needs internal gynecological examination and leukorrhea test to determine the type of inflammation and treat the symptoms. Secondly, women have emotional disorders or sexual indifference, resulting in reduced vaginal mucus secretion during intercourse. The decrease of vaginal mucus secretion during intercourse will reduce its lubricating effect and lead to local dryness and pain. Thirdly, in women with premature ovarian failure or postmenopausal women, the decrease in hormone level, vaginal atrophy and local narrowing, along with the decrease in vaginal mucus secretion, can cause painful intercourse. Fourthly, pain caused by vulvar or vaginal laceration due to too rough intercourse.
