Peripheral lung cancer is considered to be in early stage if the diameter of the tumor is not larger than 3cm, and the tumor only invades the adjacent pleura or airways without metastasis to distant organs or lung tissues and surrounding lymph nodes.
Peripheral lung cancer refers to lung cancer of tertiary bronchus and distal end of capillary bronchus where the tumor is located in the peripheral part of lung. Early stage peripheral lung cancer is more insidious and the symptoms are not obvious, a few patients may have symptoms of cough and chest pain, and in this period, surgical resection of the lesion is often adopted for treatment, with relatively good prognosis.
It is recommended that people over 40 years old, especially those with family history of lung cancer or those who work in heavily polluted jobs, should have CT examination every year to detect early lesions and treat them in time in order to get a better prognosis.
