The relationship between vasectomy and prostate cancer has not yet been clearly concluded.

Vasectomy is a small, sterile procedure in which the vas deferens is cut, separately ligated, and the lumen of the vas deferens is cauterized to prevent recanalization. Vasectomy does not affect the production and release of testosterone into the bloodstream; its effect is simply to prevent sperm ejaculation.
The prevailing view is that vasectomy does not increase the risk of prostate cancer.
