Sensory ataxia diet is important!

Sensory ataxia is a spinal ataxia. It is caused by deep sensory deficits caused by damage to the posterior roots of the spinal cord. Vision can be compensated, so Romberg’s sign is positive and the heel-knee-shin test is unstable, along with impaired position and vibration perception of the lower extremities. It is seen in spinal cord lesions, peripheral neurotic mass, and Friedreich’s disorder. In terms of diet, patients are advised to eat foods rich in vitamins; seafood, edible mushrooms, beans and their products; fish, dairy, sesame paste, various vegetables and fruits. Eat more foods that are helpful in improving one’s memory; lemon improves one’s cognitive ability; bananas provide the brain with the important substance tyrosine, which can make one energetic and focused, and improve one’s creative ability. Brown rice contains many vitamins (especially vitamin B1), which are essential for improving the cognitive ability of patients.
