Can adults get the hepatitis B vaccine?

Adults can be vaccinated against hepatitis B. The Technical Guidelines on Hepatitis B Immunoprophylaxis for Adults in China recommend that all adults who have not been vaccinated or have not received the full course of vaccination or whose vaccination history is not known be vaccinated with hepatitis B vaccine, especially those who are at high risk of hepatitis B infection, in accordance with the procedure of 20 μg of hepatitis B vaccine in the period of “0-1-6 months”. Adults need to be examined for hepatitis B markers before receiving hepatitis B vaccine, if the hepatitis B surface antigen is positive by qualitative test, or quantitative test >0.05IU/mL, it suggests that there is infection of hepatitis B virus, and the hepatitis B vaccine is invalid, and the hepatitis B vaccine can’t be given. Hepatitis B surface antibody <10mIU/ml or hepatitis B two half-negative requires 3 doses of hepatitis B vaccination. If you have been vaccinated with hepatitis B vaccine in the past, but the surface antibody of hepatitis B is 10~99mIU/ml or only the surface antibody of hepatitis B is "weakly positive" in the two halves of hepatitis B, and the other two halves are negative, it is recommended that you have a booster injection of hepatitis B vaccine. Hepatitis B vaccine is an effective means of preventing hepatitis B infection. Adults are advised to pay attention to their own hepatitis B markers and complete hepatitis B vaccination in time.
