Specific dosage: Oral, the dose should be individualized to avoid the occurrence of bradycardia. It should be taken orally on an empty stomach. If taken after a meal, the bioavailability of metoprolol can be increased by 40%. In the treatment of hypertension, 100-200 mg daily in 1-2 oral doses. In the treatment of acute myocardial infarction, early administration, i.e. within the first few hours, is advocated to reduce short-term mortality. In the treatment of hyperthyroidism, generally 25-50mg once, 2-3 times a day. In the treatment of heart failure, based on the application of anti-heart failure and other drugs such as digitalis and diuretics, initially 6.25mg once, 2-3 times a day, and later, depending on the clinical situation, increase 6.25-12.5mg once every few days to a week, 2-3 times a day, and the maximum dose can be up to 50-100mg once, twice a day.
