Many hands hold each other to build a sky of love.

The prevalence of scoliosis has been reported to be 2% of the total population in women and 0.5% in men. Among them, adolescent idiopathic scoliosis is common, occurring between adolescent development and adulthood, accounting for 80% of idiopathic scoliosis cases. There are currently more than 300 million adolescents in China, and based on the incidence, there are several million adolescent patients in China. Scoliosis orthopedic surgery is expensive, with the average cost of a case ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 RMB. This is an extremely heavy burden for families of adolescents in the education stage. There are still many families in China who are too poor to afford such an expensive treatment and give up on their child’s treatment. This delays the child’s life. When they grow up, their lives and health are severely affected by the deformity of their bodies and the compression of their internal organs, which not only prevents them from working normally, but also puts their lives at risk. At present, only a few domestic charity funds are assisting patients with spinal deformities, including the China Charity Federation’s Weigao Love Project, Guangzhou’s New Miao Foundation, the American Butterfly Foundation that recently came to China, and the spinal deformity program of the Ball Love Charity Foundation, which was just established yesterday. But the number of patients with spinal deformities in China is huge, and these funds are really a drop in the bucket, and the community needs to work together to extend a loving hand and build a sky of love!
