People generally know more about lung cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer and other tumors, but they know little about lymphoma. In recent years, the number of celebrities suffering from lymphoma is increasing, and people are becoming more and more concerned about lymphoma. So, what is lymphoma? Malignant lymphoma is a type of malignant tumor that originates in lymph nodes and extra-nodal lymphoid tissues and organs, and is classified into non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and Hodgkin’s lymphoma according to clinical and pathological features. Lymphoma can occur in almost any part of the body. What are the manifestations of the body that indicate possible lymphoma? 1. Superficial lymph node enlargement that can be felt by oneself: The most common manifestation is painless and gradually enlarged lymph nodes, which are usually found in the neck, armpit and groin. You can try to push the lymph nodes with your fingers to feel the mobility, adhesion, texture, tenderness and other characteristics of the lymph nodes. In early stage or when the tumor is less malignant, the lymph nodes can be felt as mobile, non-adhesive and soft in texture. In advanced stage or when the tumor is highly aggressive, the lymph node enlargement progresses rapidly and is not easily pushed by fingers, and the lymph nodes are adherent and fused into a block with a tough texture. If the lymph nodes are painful to touch, think about whether the lymph node reaction is caused by local inflammation in the oral cavity and throat, which may be lymphadenitis, but there is no need to worry too much. Of course, in either case, further examination is needed to clarify whether it is lymphoma. 2.Deep lymph node enlargement: It is usually difficult to find out, but often found by chance when taking a film for examination after a visit for other diseases. 3.Some lymphomas do not have enlarged lymph nodes, but show extra-nodal organ involvement: for example, gastrointestinal tract lesions may show as stomach pain, vomiting, chronic diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding, etc.; if liver and spleen are involved, stomach distension and jaundice may appear; if skin is involved, skin lumps, nodules, patches, skin ulcers, papules, skin itching, etc.; if pharyngeal lymphatic ring is involved, it may show as sore throat, foreign body sensation in the throat, breathing pain, etc. If the lymphatic ring of the pharynx is involved, it can manifest as sore throat, foreign body sensation in the throat, breathlessness, hoarseness; if the lung is involved, there can be cough, coughing and chest tightness; if the bone, urinary tract and brain are involved, there can be corresponding symptoms. Therefore, if the cause of discomfort in any part of the body cannot be identified, the possibility of lymphoma needs to be thought of. 4. Systemic symptoms: The most typical ones are fever, night sweats and weight loss. Fever is manifested as a body temperature of 38 degrees or more, which lasts for more than 3 days. In addition to this, general weakness and loss of appetite may also occur. If these abnormalities occur in the body, do not take matters into your own hands, but go to the regular hospital for examination in time to avoid delaying the condition.
