Is acne on the face caused by high estrogen?

Facial acne (pimples on the face) is not caused by high estrogen. There are many causes of facial acne, mainly including endocrine disorders, local infections, abnormal keratinization, etc. Endocrine disorders are generally abnormal androgen levels, not high estrogen.
1. Endocrine disorders: Bad habits and emotions such as oily diet, late nights and anxiety can lead to endocrine disorders. High levels of androgens can lead to exuberant secretion of oil in the body, resulting in facial acne; an imbalance in the levels of androgens and estrogens in the body before and after menstruation can lead to exuberant secretion of oil in the skin, resulting in acne.
2. Localized infections: Long-term incomplete skin cleansing can lead to blockage of hair follicles, prompting bacterial growth, and in severe cases, skin infections can occur, manifesting as facial inflammatory papules and other acne manifestations.
3. Abnormal keratinization: Poor keratinization or hyperkeratinization of hair follicles can lead to blockage of follicle openings, and if accompanied by a large amount of sebaceous gland secretion, it can lead to hair follicle blockage and facial acne.
There are many causes of facial acne, and it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment, so as to avoid improper treatment, resulting in adverse consequences.
