Do you have to continue taking medication after prostate cancer surgery?

Prostate cancer can be diagnosed by imaging such as ultrasound or CT. Early stage prostate cancer does not require any treatment after surgery, and some patients with mid to late stage prostate cancer need drug-like treatment after surgery, mainly or prostaglandin inhibiting drugs, which most people can tolerate. If adjuvant therapy is used, it can end with 1-2 years after surgery. If it is palliative treatment, it needs to be taken for life, which is more beneficial to the patient. Once a tumor is detected in the prostate, surgery can be used in the early stages. If the tumor is intermediate or advanced, the patient is older and less tolerant of surgery, palliative or other non-surgical treatment is the main treatment.
