Information for Prostate Cancer Docetaxel Chemotherapy Patients

  Docetaxel in combination with prednisone chemotherapy for destructive resistant prostate cancer
  Specific chemotherapy regimen (every 3 weeks for one cycle)
  1. Dexamethasone (oral): 8mg of dexamethasone orally 12 hours, 3 hours and 1 hour before docetaxel chemotherapy (only 3 times per cycle)
  2.Prednisone (oral): 5mg twice a day during docetaxel chemotherapy.
  3.Docetaxel (IV): 75mg/m2 IV infusion, drip time: more than 1 hour. 1 infusion every 3 weeks.
  4.The above items are standard protocols, which may be adjusted when implemented by the doctor for individual patients, subject to the prescription of the treating physician.
  Related tests during chemotherapy.
  Routine blood tests, liver and kidney function, PSA, testosterone are checked before each cycle of chemotherapy to assess whether the patient is suitable for chemotherapy.
  During chemotherapy, routine blood tests will be performed twice a week to closely monitor the changes of each index.
  Chemotherapy is contraindicated for.
  1.History of docetaxel or paclitaxel-like drug allergy
  2. Baseline neutrophil count <1.5x109/L
  3, patients with severe impairment of liver and kidney function
  Common adverse reactions.
  Neutropenia (common symptoms: body temperature ≥ 37.5° or temperature < 36 degrees or presence of chills or flu-like symptoms (acetaminophen analogs should not be taken))
  Anemia
  Fatigue
  Thrombocytopenia
  Allergic reactions
  Fluid retention (peripheral edema)
  Abnormal liver function, etc.

  Patients with special discomfort or neutrophils <4x109/L and platelets <90x109/L during chemotherapy should seek prompt hospital outpatient consultation.
