Generally speaking, constipation is roughly divided into several types: slow colonic transmission, outlet obstruction and mixed type (both slow colonic transmission and outlet obstruction), and fecal imaging is the current method to diagnose outlet obstruction type constipation, while colonic transmission test is the method to diagnose slow colonic transmission.
