  The consumption of some foods can produce gas in the body, causing bloating and increased intra-abdominal pressure, thus triggering or aggravating GERD; while treating the disease, reducing the intake of such foods can effectively relieve bloating and promote recovery from the disease; these foods are classified as follows for reference: extreme gas-producing foods: beans, kale, onions celery, carrots, raisins, bananas, dried plums Juice, apricots, malt and doughnuts; moderate gas-producing foods: potatoes, eggplant, citrus fruits, apples, flour cakes and bread; low gas-producing foods: meat, chicken, fish, eggs, some vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, cauliflower and asparagus), some fruits (cherries, grapes and cantaloupe), rice, corn, nuts and chocolate.
