There are two types of positions for patients in shock, both of which are to be taken in the flat position: the first is to elevate the lower extremities by about 20-30 degrees. The second is to elevate the head and chest by 20-30 degrees and the lower limbs by 15-20 degrees. Both positions can increase the amount of blood returned to the heart and reduce the burden of breathing, as well as the burden of blood discharge from the heart. It is important to keep quiet and avoid moving as much as possible, because more moving may aggravate shock and seriously cause death. Pay attention to keeping the patient warm, and give anti-shock pants if possible.
