There are very many clinical methods of treating ankle cysts. The most common method, the first method, is to apply pressure to the ankle cysts that are soft and small in the early stages and may be broken by pressure from both thumbs. The second method can be local puncture and fluid extraction and local injection of prednisolone acetate. The third and most common method is surgery. For large and hard ankle cysts, surgery is still the main treatment method. The cyst should be completely removed under local anesthesia or combined lumbar and rigid anesthesia. After surgery, the excised specimen should be sent to pathology and the incision should be actively changed and disinfected to prevent infection.
