How can dry stools be treated?

Dry stools are often caused by poor bowel habits or irregular diet.
It is important to eat more fresh vegetables and fruits rich in dietary fibre, such as celery, leeks, bamboo shoots, bananas, apples and kiwis, and eat regularly to avoid excessive dieting; eat more coarse grains and miscellaneous grains, such as sweet potatoes, potatoes, corn and oats; consume probiotics to help regulate the intestinal flora; and develop the habit of having regular bowel movements every day to avoid long periods of squatting.
