In clinical treatment, we often encounter some older patients with confused complaints and fragile psychology. We must be careful when doing treatment, if the patient refuses medication, we must first meet the patient’s requirements, and when the condition improves, after obtaining the patient’s trust, and then appropriate medication will receive twice the result with half the effort. The following is a case worthy of my deep thought. Yesterday there was an old man with his partner to see the doctor, the age of eighty years old or so. The old man is my old patient, due to back pain after acupuncture treatment 4 times completely recovered, I have great trust in myself, so this time named me to his partner’s back and leg pain to do acupuncture treatment, after examination, diagnosed as sacroiliac arthritis. After the examination, the diagnosis of sacroiliitis was confirmed. After acupuncture treatment was given, the effect was more satisfactory, and at the same time of treatment, the patient complained that she had a lot of other illnesses, but she could not tell exactly, and refused to be treated with intravenous injection. I subjectively assumed that she was a psychologically fragile patient, so I did not take her advice at that time, treatment insisted on giving the drug intravenous drip, yesterday night the patient complained of malaise, accompanied by fever, malaise and other symptoms, but the measurement of the body temperature is normal, the vital signs are stable, the analysis should be for the patient’s psychological fear and can not accept the treatment of the hanging water due to the oldest take care of her overnight without a good night’s sleep and the furious, and the final result The final result is that today the patient and her family strongly requested to be discharged from the hospital, I feel very passive, any discouragement does not work, only to go through the discharge procedures. It is worthwhile for me to consider and summarize this incident. What I have lost is not only a patient, but also the trust of an old patient in me, which makes me a bit lost. How to say, there are losses and gains, waiting for the future work as soon as possible to summarize and improve it.
