Optimal recovery time for nerve injury

Once a patient has a nerve injury, it should be actively repaired, and the best recovery time is usually within 3-6 months. Nerve injury can be divided into traumatic nerve injury and compression nerve injury. Patients are treated with drugs that dilate blood vessels and nerve nutrition, such as methylcobalamin, which can effectively treat nerve injury and promote nerve regeneration. It is also necessary to strengthen functional exercise and local physical therapy, and do more active or passive joint exercises to prevent muscle atrophy. In this case, the patient recovers relatively quickly. However, in the case of more severe nerve injury or central nerve injury, the recovery process is relatively slow and there is a high chance of incomplete recovery. Patients with nerve injury should avoid pressure on the local limb during the recovery process, and they can do acupuncture, massage, and acupressure on a daily basis to maintain blood circulation and promote nerve recovery.
