Uterine cysts are usually benign lesions and there are almost no malignant cysts in the uterus. Cysts occurring in the cervix, i.e., cervical naevus, are formed due to chronic cervical inflammation blocking the glandular orifices of the glands in the cervical area, causing the retention of endocrine secretions in the glands. This condition is not malignant and most of them have no obvious clinical symptoms, are relatively small in size and do not require special treatment. Uterine cysts that occur in the body of the uterus are usually caused by the degeneration of uterine fibroids, or they may be cystic lesions caused by the ectopic glands of the endometrium to the myometrium with menstrual bleeding, and usually do not become malignant.
