Information for patients after implant surgery

  1.With gauze wrapped in ice on the local intermittent cold compress within 48 hours after surgery.  2.Take medicine according to the prescribed time.  3.Try to eat soft food, such as: egg flower, milk, ice cream, broth, chicken soup, porridge, noodles, etc.  4.Gargle with mouthwash or light salt water more than 3 times a day until the sutures are removed.  5.There can be a little swelling and ischemic discoloration after the surgery, these conditions are normal and do not indicate infection or other problems. When you sleep, put your head up a little higher. Even so, you will still find significant swelling in the wound when you wake up on the 2nd day. Edema usually starts on the 1st day after surgery, peaks on the 2nd day after surgery, and starts to subside on the 3rd day after surgery. If the swelling continues to increase on the 3rd day, there is a possibility of secondary infection, and the cause should be identified and the corresponding local treatment and anti-infection treatment plan should be adjusted.  6. If there is obvious bleeding, elevate the head and apply cold compresses with ice. Or bite a piece of gauze for 25 minutes.  7.If there is obvious bleeding and it is still not controlled or there is any discomfort after the above simple treatment, you should call your doctor immediately for consultation or go to the hospital.
