Appendicitis care methods

The home care of post-appendicitis patients is important, mainly in three aspects. The first point, dietary care, if the post-appendicitis patient begins to vent the anus and defecate, a liquid, semi-liquid diet should be given priority, and foods that help digestion such as orange juice, tomato juice, rice and thin rice can be taken orally, and the patient’s defecation should be observed daily to determine further dietary plans according to the amount of defecation. The second point is wound care. After appendicitis, observe the patient’s wound every day to see if there is any redness, swelling, heat and pain. If there is, it is necessary to actively strengthen the drug change treatment. The third point, exercise care, after appendicitis patients began to get out of bed the next day to avoid the occurrence of deep vein thrombosis in the lower limbs. It is necessary to move 50-100 steps every day and extend it according to the time. The number of times the patient walks should be increased on the third and fourth day, and the sufficient length should be moderately extended.
