The early stages of oral condyloma are mainly small, soft or reddish papules that gradually increase in size and form uneven, soft but papillary or cauliflower-shaped, or cockle-shaped growths. The root of the condyloma has a tip and is prone to erosion and oozing, resulting in a white, dark gray, or red surface due to bleeding. In the case of smaller warts, they may be flattened. In most cases of oral warts, the patient has no obvious symptoms, but a small percentage may have localized itching and pain.
