The HC2HPV test is a clinical test for HPV infection using a low replication method and is mainly used to screen for cervical cancer. HPV infection includes dozens of subtypes, including low-risk HPV infection and high-risk HPV infection. The majority of low-risk HPV infections cause a rash, such as HPV6 and HPV11, which often leads to condyloma acuminata. They form a grayish-white cauliflower-like growth on the vulva or cervix or vagina and are mainly transmitted through sexual contact. In case of high-risk HPV infection, if it persists clinically, it may lead to precancerous lesions of the cervical epithelium, which may develop into cervical cancer if left untreated, so women must be screened for cervical cancer regularly.
