Men with large bags under the eyes is a kidney deficiency

There are more clinical causes of large bags under the eyes in men, but they are usually not caused by kidney deficiency. Eye bags are a result of skin relaxation in the eyelid area and edema in the skin tissues under the eyes, which manifests as sagging and bulging lower lid skin, giving the impression of aging, mental weakness and fatigue. The formation of eyebags is mostly related to the spleen, which is considered by Chinese medicine to be the master of muscles. When the spleen decreases in function, the muscles on the eyelids lack nutrients and become lax, and over time, the eyelids sag due to inelasticity. The spleen transports water-dampness, and when its function is reduced, water-dampness stays in the body and first accumulates in the eyes. The skin in the eye area is relatively weak, and when water accumulates, the area below the lower eyelid becomes puffy due to water filling, thus forming bags under the eyes. Patients should eat more yam, adzuki beans, gravy and other foods in their daily diet. Ensure sufficient sleep, improve sleep quality, drink less water before going to bed, and massage the eyelids frequently to promote blood circulation.
