What are the minimally invasive treatments for stones?

With the modernization of medical equipment, almost all stones can be solved by minimally invasive methods. At present, there are about the following minimally invasive treatments for stones, each with its own indications. 1.Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy Single kidney stone less than 50px, lower renal calyx and ureteral stone less than 25px, extracorporeal lithotripsy should be preferred. Extracorporeal lithotripsy has the advantages of less damage, reliable effect and low cost. However, it should be noted that the number of lithotripsy should not exceed three times. The distal obstruction, diverticulum stones, stromal stones, complex stones, large embedded stones, cardiac, hepatic and renal insufficiency, uncontrolled diabetes and infection, bleeding disorders, pregnancy, etc. are not suitable for extracorporeal lithotripsy. 2.For complex kidney stones multiple kidney stones, antler-shaped kidney stones, larger kidney stones v diameter greater than 50pxw, diverticular kidney stones, horseshoe kidney stones, ureteral upper segment embedded stones, it is better to clear the stones by percutaneous nephroscopic EMS pneumatic ballistic combined with ultrasonic lithotripsy. Advantages: high efficiency of lithotripsy and active stone clearing, which is the most ideal method to treat complex kidney stones. 3, lower and middle ureteral stones Stones larger than 25px or stones with embedded polyps, stones in the “stone street” caused by extracorporeal lithotripsy, Holmium laser lithotripsy under ureteroscopy is the best choice. Advantages: Holmium laser can crush all kinds of stones and deal with ureteral polyps and strictures at the same time.
