What is the pain in the urethra when a woman relieves herself?

Pain in the urethra when women urinate, a condition commonly associated with painful urination, is a typical manifestation of acute cystourethritis. Acute cystourethritis is commonly caused by bacterial infection, and the prevalence is higher in female patients, firstly, due to the short urethra in female patients; secondly, due to lack of attention to personal hygiene, bacterial infection is easily caused during sexual intercourse. If the sexual life is too frequent, it is easy to cause damage to the mucous membrane of the urethra, thus making the resistance decrease and more likely to induce bacterial infection. The common causative agent of acute cystourethritis in women is Escherichia coli, which mainly infects the bladder mucosa retrogradely through the urethra, causing painful urination, usually also causing symptoms of frequent and urgent urination, and in severe cases, blood in the urine.
